Horseback riding
Horseback riding for small groups of 2-4 persons on Russian, allergy friendly Bashkir horses. The horses are calm so even beginners are welcome. You ride in a western saddle in a wonderful Natura 2000 site full of rare plants and animals such as Yew, Mezereons, Pasque Flower, Ramson, Bird's-Nest Orchid, Helleborines, Baneberry and Corncrake. The riding is in varied terrain including a lovely birch forest which is very beautiful in May when all the anemones bloom.
Cultural experience with horsebackriding
An opportunity if you want to try the outdoor kitchen where you pick your own ingredients, experience the rich cultural heritage in the local area, enjoy what nature has to offer together with our fantastic bashkir horses. These days will give you time to get acquainted with the animals, ride and enjoy nature, and at night you sleep in a cozy cottage or in the farm's tipi tent.
Guided orchid hike
Take an orchid hike in forrest in Karlsäter. Seven different kinds of orchids and many other rare plants grow here. You also get advice on common plants that can be used for tea, food and spices. You bring your own snacks in your backpack. The tour takes about 2-3 hours.
Cabins
The farm in Karlsäter, located three kilometers from Marma, have two cabins for rental. Linens are included. The two cabins share the charming outhouse toilet and shower.
The bigger cottage offer two rooms with four beds (two single beds and a sofa bed), TV, refrigerator, hot plates for cooking and a big terrace.
The smaller cabin with two beds has an outdoor kitchen with refrigerator and hot plates for cooking.
Here you can just relax and listen to the chirping of birds, or hike on a nature trail. Are you interested in birds (Crane, Corncrake, Grasshopper Warbler, Curlew) you can sit in the bird tower and scout. There is a beach in Marma, and the Furuvik Zoo Park is 30 kilometres away.
